If the face is in
shadow but the activity is perfect or unable to be moved, circle the
child while constantly talking and their head will follow you.
NEVER
Put your back to the wall. Look for open shade, your subject stands in
the open shade while you are in the elements - yes, the hot sun, the
drizzle while your subject is undercover.
Don't blow out the face
- even with new mirrorless cameras, you cannot trust the light in the
viewfinder. You must meter for the face and keep an eye on that
metering just like in the old days!
